Stop Abuse Case Study
Stop Abuse was formed in 1986 to prevent child sexual abuse through education, detection and referral. The potential for this kind of abuse exists for children of every gender, age, race, ethnicity, background, socioeconomic status and family structure. No child is immune.
Reports further indicate that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys will have experienced sexual abuse by the time they are 18 years old. Because it is estimated that only 10% of child victims actually report the abuse and 93% of the victims know their abuser, we feel that is crucial to bring attention and awareness to this epidemic.
Developing the Website
Creating the new Stop Abuse website presented some unique design challenges. Our goal was to communicate with adults and children alike, to make the site fun and welcoming, while also being professional and trustworthy. The Simon character gave us a lot to work with and we enjoyed creating the new website presence with a Simon doll following us around while we worked.
To support the sales and marketing efforts of Stop Abuse, we created various print materials to supplement existing efforts. We created static and flexible marketing materials to help further the new brand recognition, while being easily customizable for different target markets and opportunities.
