Branding Arc, a marketing firm in the financial services industry, is celebrating the mark of its 10th anniversary. Founder and CEO Adam Parks looks back on starting the business from his living room in 2011 as side work while working full-time in another position; what began as creating websites for companies and nonprofits gradually evolved to now providing comprehensive marketing services for large and small clients across the financial services sector. The original one-person side hustle is now an international team with well-known partners throughout the receivables management space.

Experience & Insight in a Niche Market

What makes Branding Arc unique for its niche market is its foundational depth of experience, understanding, and ongoing involvement in the space. Mr. Parks is a serial entrepreneur and leader in the receivables management industry and holds an MBA with a focus on marketing. When he began independently contracting websites for clients, he was serving as Executive Vice President & Member of Stirling Capital Advisors, a business he helped develop from 2009-2012 after breaking into the receivables management industry as a marketing manager for a major receivables investment firm from 2006-2009.

From 2013-2016, he went on to serve as Chief Compliance Officer for an investment management firm, where he developed experiential insight and ideas for improving the compliance process. In 2014, he branched out to develop ComplyArm (acquired in 2019 by Provana), a compliance consulting firm focused on assisting receivables management businesses with policy and procedure documentation, compliance management systems, and auditing services focused on establishing and documenting compliant operations.

Driven by Passion

Currently, Mr. Parks serves as Chief Marketing Officer of Plaza Services, LLC, a receivables management investment firm. He is actively involved in the RMAI board and is the 2021 RMAI President-Elect. He is passionate about marketing as well as forward-thinking growth and advocacy in the industry. He applies his marketing expertise to assist businesses in finding and using their “company voice.”

Marketing was always my main passion and I wanted to find a way to focus on it. I knew the unique challenges of ARM industry regulation and that businesses in the space were overall hesitant to have any kind of online presence. Over time, we’ve been able to help shift that mindset to embrace the value of a positive online presence. We’ve evolved from a website firm to a marketing firm, and our first customers are still with us. It’s an honor and privilege to look back on the changes over a decade.” reflected Mr. Parks.

Big Dreams & Persistence

Mr. Parks reminisced on the early stages of Branding Arc officially becoming a business: “For a long time it was just me, and then Chris Gulizia and Eryn Fiondella were the first additions. We were all local here in Florida at the time, and we shared a small office with big dreams. We’ve all put in a lot of work and we’re thrilled to see where things are headed.”

The Branding Arc team donated the new RMAI website in 2020 and continues to be involved with the association. Their growing pool of content creators stays busy ghostwriting for major industry participants. Poised for continued growth, the team is enthusiastic about the future and notes that they hope their work ultimately has a positive impact on both consumers and the industry at large.

Adam Parks is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years’ experience in the receivables management industry. His diverse background includes portfolio purchasing and trading as well as the development of systems and technology to manage the servicing of accounts. Adam has held various marketing and operations positions within the ARM industry brokerages which give him a broad set of experiences and relationships. Adam is the CMO of debt buyer Plaza Services, a founding partner of digital marketing firm Branding Arc, and the founder of ComplyARM, a leading compliance consulting firm that was sold in 2019. He also currently serves as President-Elect on the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) Board of Directors.
